Interviewee #5: Matt Smith



- Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Spanish Education from the College of Saint Rose in 2001.
- Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, focusing on spirituality.
- Director of Social Justice Ministry
- Specialization include awareness of LGBTQ-related issues, education and involvement in initiatives raising awareness around violence against women, the death penalty, immigration, and multicultural issues.
- Trained in non-violence, conflict transformation, as a campus advocate for victims of sexual assault, and as a group facilitator.

Interviewee #4: Gregory Dale Schultz


- He is openly a homosexual
- Director of Liturgy and Music
- Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School
- Masters in Liturgy and Sacred Music from Yale Divinity (in association with the Institute of Sacred Music, Worship and the Arts).
- Served in several parishes throughout the northeastern U.S. as Pastoral Associate, Youth Minister, Director of Music, and Liturgist, in addition to 2 years of ministry in the Episcopal Church.

Interviewee #3: Professor Vance Trembath

Short introduction on Prof. Trembath
- Majored in Theology and English at St. Ambrose University
- Earned her MA and doctoral degrees at University of Notre Dame, Indiana
- Professor at the University of Notre Dame, Assistant Professor at USF
- Works in adult formation at the Sacred Heart Schools in Atherton
- Her specialization is the Church, particularly the Second Vatican Council
- Member of St. Ignatius Parish in San Francisco where she is active in various ministries.

Interviewee #2: Fr. Chris Cartwright, S.J.

Short Introduction on Father Cartwright

- Joined Jesuits in 1970,
- Studied at Loyola Marymount University, Gonzaga University and Jesuit School of Theology at Berkley,
- Experienced Pastoral Minister,
- Worked in Campus Ministry at USF and University of Hawaii,
- Served as a Pastor, Retreat Director and Music director,
- Native of California and a Jesuit in Residence in the Unity Residential Learning Community.

Interviee #1: SCU RM (Audio Interview)

An audio interview was conducted with an SCU Resident Minister who has chosen to remain anonymous. Please note that the RM did not speak on behalf of the Catholic church.
Below is the skeleton of questions asked:

1. In general, do you know any homosexuals within the Catholic community?
2. What is your knowledge about the Catholic theology about homosexuality?
3. What is your knowledge about how the Catholic Church deals with homosexuality?
4. What is your opinion about how the Catholic Church deals with homosexuality?
5. Is there anything about homosexuality that the Catholic community is against?
6. Are there any similar views in the Catholic community on other issues?
7. Do you have any experiences of persecution against homosexuals?
8. Do you foresee any changes in any of the above?
